SM-1-02 diode replacement.

Hello Forum...QQ..I couldn't find any info on the forum..........any ideas for replacement?

SM-1-02 diode..........will a 1N4003 do the job?

It is for a Rotel amp.

How about a KB165 'ball' diode.......any replacement? I dont think 2 1n4148 in series will work for this diode.............confirm?

Having trouble deciphering what is special about the KB165 - looks like an ordinary diode from the spec' sheet, but maybe it has some special temperature coefficient.

If it tests ok (and it should do, like an ordinary diode) I wouldn't change it.

If you DO change it, a single 1N4148 will work, but how well is open to question.
