So there's been some grumblings on the site that there low cost/cheap speakers, just wondering who all on Audiokarma thinks these are cheap or low cost speaker's I'm just wondering what the member's consensus is on them ?

some innard shots would be nice. heard some mixed things on the dlk name plate. the dome above the top woofer looks promising...
 
They were expensive at the time and sounded quite nice. These were the state of the art at Shaak Electronics. I used to go there and listen to them and dream of one day owning them. Instead, I had two pair of the DLK 3 speakers at the time. Back in the mid 80's I sold one pair to my brother who still uses them (after refoaming some 15 yrs ago) and they still sound nice.

Trolling for what ? I don't get it, there's been some grumblings on the site that these are low cost speaker's and I'm interested in what the members consensus is on them that's all. What do you all think of these ?

If you are happy with them and the way they sound. Why are you concerned with what other people think about them?

hi no concerns. Just wondering what u all thought about them. I love them thus I bought a 3rd pair just recently. But if most members are negative on them that's fine no prob.I'm not looking to anger anyone about bring them up. Just interested in people's honest opinion on them that all. :music:
 
If your on your 3rd pair you must be pretty happy with them. The customer is always right! :thmbsp:

Tell us what you like about them.
 
So what if there cheap and crappy who cairs but you?

I have a cheap and crappy set of Sansui's SP-5000's well at least what the majority think here. Truth be told the majority excuse me very few ever even heard these speakers in there life. Let alone heard them with what i'm putting in them. There an awesome speaker and if ever I can find another set I'll jump on them. But the trouble is the rarity you never see them.

I bought a pair of JBL L250s that everyone loves. Ya they sound good and I used them about a month. They just didn't have that full sound the SP-5000 do at least with my system. My system is bad ass by the way.

Anyway my cheap crappy speakers are back in place helping the JBLs out. To be fair lets say the L250 need 400w and Im just shy. I might get a power amp to do the job but don't think it will ever get them to the Sansui's in my system.

At this point if I had to get rid of a set it would be the JBLs. But for now there side by side. And Im happy again.

Buy the way the Sansui SP-5000 are crappy everyone. :scratch2:

Don't listen to my praise I would prefer not having to fight over my next set.:sigh:

Sorry to offended ya, that was not my attention. I brought these up in a couple of members thread an got some negative heat about them so just wondering if most of the members flet the same way. I for sure don't have to post about them or any other audio gear. I'd rather sit back have a few cold beverages an crank up some Zep Floyd Anamials Skynard etc. I don't need to contribute on the site I do because I love vintage audio.
