Sony SS-B3000 true 3-way Mod

Good day DIY’ers! I recently picked up some Sony SS-B3000 speaker from a thrift store. I have not hooked them up but I’ve gotten some advice to look for a modification to make these a true 3-way as there are no crossovers and the woofer runs full range. If anyone has seen, heard, done, or could recommend a mod for these I would be very appreciative. I’ve never done a speaker mod before, though I have built a few guitar pedals, and I have decent solder skills. Plus I got 3 speakers for $10 so seems like a good place to start. Thanks!

The best mod you COULD do, is to measure the response of the drivers with a microphone,and tweak the crossover components to the real response of the drivers if you find some anomaly when measuring with the microphone (dips in the freq response, driver's response overlapping or cancelling at crossover points, one driver much louder than the other). I don't think the speaker has no crossover. Running the woofer full range is very usual, many great speakers are designed that way.

If you find a documented mod, detailing what you need to do, and the expected results, you could try it.

I didn't modify a Sony SS-B3000, but modified and tweaked many speaker crossovers with very good results.
