I´m looking for spare parts for my 35 year old Tape Cassette deck Sony TC-129. Please help. Where should I look?

I'm curious why you would be considering fixing this machine when so many vastly better and more modern units can be had for a pittance these days?

The parts I need are...

Auto stop mechanism + (I´m not sure about the English word for it) but it´s something like take in or lead in mechanism or was it reel in?

Describe what it's doing. If the auto-stop is kicking in and not allowing you to play a tape, then the belt that controls the take up reel is bad. Preferably, you should try to find a source for the original belt on the internet somewhere. If you cannot, then you *can* use a rubber band of the right size and stretchiness (I've used those things my wife puts in her hair) to operate the take-up reel. You CANNOT do this for the main drive belt if it is bad...you need an original spec belt.

VERY cool tape deck. I LOVE old top-loaders.
