I love my soundbar speakers .
i also enjoy my sound bars :jump:

i dislike the idea of the gimmick gear like the other type of sound bars that you speak of!

Floorstander and bookshelf w/ sub are my favorite what’s the two sets of speakers you show ???
they are a pair of kef transmission line speakers, they are the best set i have owned, they are super heavy at about 60kg each, very similar to imf speakers, what speakers are you running??

Klipsch icon and pioneer Andrew Jones in my bedroom and still trying to find something that works downstairs.
Gotta wait til I get a job and get rid of some of these low end speakers I don’t need .
Wow kef made full sized T lines, all I see are mini ones today .
Check my thread my downstairs system is a catastrophe right now .
I don’t think she would let me set up full-size speakers . Living room have a pc sub and speakers there dread-full . Sub Is decent , hope I find a job within a month.

Don’t have one but I may get one. They are GREAT for audio as far as I am concerned because it would allow me to hear decent TV sound without using up my Cary amp tubes which I would rather keep for music listening.

Tube amps ? I still don’t have one but plan on getting one someday.
You don’t need a super pricey amplifier for tv programs.

I guess soundbars probably don’t use up much power or space .

High definition audio is different story my onkyo818 works for movies well.
only mid -price receiver though $1399 range or so . When new

My living room tv is up on the wall smack between my olympica 3’s. Which are powered by my tube amp. Which means if I want to hear a tv show on anything besides the crappy tv speakers I have to fire up the system.

Seems like a sound bar would solve my problem

I cannot say I’ve heard lot of sound-bars but it look like some of them are higher end with well built subs . Just don’t go bottom shelf haha , if it saves your tube amps a longer lifespan go form it.
Clueless how it sounds but that’s a real neat looking one w / atmos ?

From the link: "According to TCL, these reflectors then “bend the sound at a precise angle to create natural reverberation and a much wider perceived soundstage”.
Bending sound at precise angles you say?!? Where do I get one?
Dono they sell Roku tv prob online or anywhere that sells new electronics. I’d buy one
Beats pc speakers , which aren’t terrible but ehhh lacking surround.:jump::lurk: Hurt my ears

They say we end up marrying someone like our parents. My experience bears this out. In your case I would say marry someone like your mom (I am assuming you are a heterosexual male, but make no judgements as my son is gay and I am proud of him...). ANYWAYS marry someone like mom EXCEPT when it comes to her views on “decor” lol.

I was lucky to find someone that values both sound and decor. She forced me to upgrade my Von Schweikert VR-4jrs to sonus faber olympica 3 because she liked the sound and the look of them better. When I told her I need a new amp to drive them she didn’t blink an eye. She’s a keeper.

My uncle has big jbl l100 monkey coffin speakers his trick was to place them in back of the room . My aunt never cared they sound way too good . Lucky man he can get whatever audio he wants , just hasn’t yet to upgrade. If Its not broke don’t fix it ? Not a big audiophile but he must had been back in the 70-80s. he hasn’t vinyl but I don’t know if he ever is listening to it .

Soundbars are something to sell since the TV is incomplete - audio wise.
It's like selling cars with skinny bike tires and wood rims and having people buy actual tires and rims that work after the sale.

That said: I like me some displacement via 12" woofers.
Can you experience this with a soundbar at full volume? I don't think so :)
Turn it up so the atmosphere (camera clicks et cetera sound correct volume wise) is at the correct volume and wait for it.
