Sounds cuts out on subwoofer at higher volume

Remember if your sub is capable of putting out 8 times the speaker displacement volume of all your satellite speakers you should be ok. If not you will be over driving the speaker or pushing the limits exacerbating its premature failure. So if you have a bunch of 10 " woofers and some 8 " too, even a single 15" sub isn't going to cut the mustard.
