The first two pair or the second...all of them...run run. My guess on the first two: Perhaps Koss CM-1030? (just a guess by shape) and ADS 1230. Hopefully...and if so..yum.

The second pair are nice as well. Good luck with 'em!

First ad - pair on the right (as you look at them) appear to be ADS 1230s. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pair on the left, first ad, look like they may be a pair of Norman Laboratories, which are highly regarded. Here are some pictures of mine, waiting to be refoamed:

Notice the rounded corners with quarter round, the grill cloth looks to be the same shade, the grills cover the full front of the speaker and the badges often come unglued. I am lucky to still have both of mine.

UPDATE: The first pair (1st ad) is a KOSS but one of the woofer in not working. The second pair is a SCOTT, not sure about the model cuz hes a work right now but one of the woofer is missing he told me that theres like 6 speakers in each cab (2xtweeter/mid/woofer). So what do you think guys is it still a go. Anybody here have heard of scott speakers?

There's plenty of Scott speakers out there, but I've never seen any that look even remotely close to those. You're talking about the second pair - the set on the right in the first CL ad, right?

Any updates? Just curious.

I've heard some decent Scott speakers, the S-196b or something like that, and they really were nice. Very 'ADS' sounding, actually..but those aren't the ones in that ad. I've never seen or heard of a pair of Scotts that look like that. There was a pair of those KOSS on my CL recently, research pulled up a couple of really happy owners. May or may not...

The ADS speakers are definitely worth a look, the others could be sleepers. Sometimes there are a few surprises out there.

I talked to the guy last night and his on a fishing trip today. I gonna call him again tomorrow to verify wether the one with the angled corner is really a scott, he told me that theres two woofers on the front(one woofer is missing) and the 2 mids and 2 tweeters on the angled side just like the ADS 1230 I guess and the other set of speakers is a pair of KOSS.

L500's, perhaps the best 2-way bookshelf ADS made prior to the B8/L8e.

Re: Scott, could be last gasp, mid 80's and could be terrific.

Pretty sure it is the angled set and don't worry about missing parts.

I had a set of S-196 bookshelves that left me flabbergasted.

This might be a case of the opposite of what often happens to me. Someone will say "yeah, it's McIntosh" and then I show up and it's MCS. Maybe your "Scott" will be ADS? I hope so. I've always wanted a pair of 1230 but the last pair around here was well above my 'just want to hear it in my house' price. Good luck!

Ok, looking at them again, the ADS 1230 didn't have wood trim on the top, so I guess they really could be Scotts. Which still could be a very good thing. Sometimes companies not known for great speakers put out a few winners (I say this, listening to Sony speakers, as I type...).

I don't like mystery speakers. The second listing - aDs 500's for $50 looked like a sure thing to me for really NICE bookshelf speakers. I'd have jumped on those.

Ok, looking at them again, the ADS 1230 didn't have wood trim on the top...

They definitely aren't L1230, but I also thought maybe they were at first glance.

In fact the 1230 does have wood on top. But it's a strip of wood only about 2.5 inches "deep," not across the entire top as shown on the speaker in question.
