Only 1 pic, not mine. Seller says they 'came with' the Sansui 551 back when originally purchased.
Any guesses?

It's definitely Sansui (see logo on grill), whether it's that exact model I'm no sure either, looks to be from the SP line of speakers from that era

Well the asking price is fair for the receiver by itself, so the speakers are just a bonus I guess. Just wondered if they would be worth hauling all the way home, better off being 'lost' on the way.

I agree to listen to them before you lose them. Sansui speakers like power and I have owned the sp-200,sp3500,sp5000 and found they sounded better with the more power you gave them.

SP 2000's have the double lattice grills with black cloth behind them


SP 200's are single lattice with black cloth.

They resemble my Coral BX1200s but with a slightly different grill. The same size-ish, the bevel on the edge, mine are rosewood and those appear to be walnut. 7 drivers each, and they truly sounded terrible. Worst case you can use the cabinet for a Frankenspeaker DIY, as I did.

Yeah, who am I kidding, like I could actually not bring them home! If that ever happened my wife would probably drive me straight to the emergency room at the closest hospital in fear of some serious neurological disorder.
So yeah, if I get 'em I'll bring 'em home and give 'em a good shake down.
