The cylinders are either RS or Zenith Circle of Sound OR...there is another one I can't place that's a bit better quality...shoot what is that. These may be those since they don't have an upside down cone on top to disperse the sound.
The others I can't place but they are huge and look 70s so may be very good stuff. Someone will recognize them momentarily.
So much for that idea!Another possible search term besides 'round' and 'cylinder' would be 'column'. These don't look like any of the Empires that come up in a search for me though.
And the big box speakers are doubtless more interesting and valuable. Any chance you could call the estate sale people and ask if there are any badges, like next to that knob on the side?
Are the big ones Electro-Voice? I seem to remember an estate sale near me that had a pair of those for sale with the attenuater on the side like that
I thought maybe EV, but I cannot find any with side mounted attenuators thatbare not corner cabinets.
I was also thinking Bozak or Hartley. But I can't find any quite like this pair.
Not Bozak. I think between University or EV for the big ones, that's a pretty safe bet. They could be home-built too. Which most certainly does not put a bad mark against them sight unseen. They look to be between 8 and 10 cubic feet and this says they're loaded with 15" drivers.
It's all speculation until you're standing on front of them. I've made 4 hour round trips for far less. I enjoy the hunt, the road trip, a grand day out.
Biggles

I keep reading replies referring to the big ones as in a pair, either my eye site is getting worse or that looks like just one, rather large speaker. Am I missing something here? I don't see where they would separate across the top that looks to be one solid piece of wood as for the divider (for a lack of better word) that looks connected to the top part
