Speaker ID?

Well zoomed the pic I have and I guess my vision has let me down again. I'm still curious though so here's hoping the OP goes and checks them out and reports back.

Could easily be. At least the bottom ones could be a real bargain at that price. Hard to tell with the columns, although they look well built, but that doesn't always mean a speaker sounds good.

I asked the sellerseller if I can buy them now and pick them up later. I probably can't can't make it on Saturday.

I usually wouldn't do such a thing, but I had a pair of Altec Valencias slip through my fingers a month ago. The seller was asking $65 for the pair. Yeah. $65.

Instead of offering to buy the immediately, I decided to wait until I could see them. Very stupid of me.

I went to a sale a year or two ago, stereo gear/receivers were advertised.
Pretty much nothing there when I got there an hour after the sale started.
So I asked if that stuff sold in the first hour...sold a couple days before the sale started.
Someone called a few days before the sale and bought them all.
Yeah, I wasn't happy.

Not sure if I was more upset with the seller or the early buyer.
Either way, a product was advertised and then sold well before the start of the sale and I ended up just wasting my time.
Had the stereo gear/receivers had been removed from the ad before the sales scheduled start it would have been a bit easier to take.

Heck, while your at it pick up the entire room. Those look to be some nice real wood end tables and coffee table.

I came across some Altec Flamenco speakers on OfferUp. The seller was asking $60 for his "big speakers." I called, went to see them, and the cabinets were completely empty. So, maybe you dodged a bullet with those $65 Valencias.

The guy got talkative.

The speakers up top are by a company named Drummond. Some early Japanese import.

The large speakers have no identifying marks except the attenuators say Pioneer. So I'm thinking they are home made, and have pioneer coaxials in them.

What the heck did you say to him? From $200 for all to $500?

He's advertising them for different prices on different platforms. $200 for all, and he strongly hinted multiple times he would go lower.

I only used those links because they have the best photos.
