1980's vintage drivers commonly used in Technics speakers. My guess is that these are home made cabinets. If you're looking for something great don't waste your money.

They appear to have once had lattice in front of the grill fabric.

I wonder if they weren't marketed under the Panasonic, or National brand.

I'd take a chance if you're not spending much for them. The wood looks good and those drivers are definitely Technics.

Definitely Matsushita.

I'm not saying they're NOT Technics. But, for those so definite in their opinion there is no definitive way short of revealing the specific Technics speaker system to identify them as Technics. If they are that easily identified as Technics, by all means, tell us which Technics.

Nothing on those drivers indicate Technics any more than it indicates Pioneer, Sony, Akai, National, Panasonic, or any of the other brands the Matsushita/EAS factory OEM'd drivers to.

For example, this tweeter can be found in speaker systems marketed under at least 3 different brand names, one of them is Pioneer.

Go ahead and say it. That driver has the Matsushita symbol, so I stand corrected as far as "is it a Matsushita or is it a Technics" driver is concerned.
