Speaker Rattle

Here's the speaker. (sorry pics are so dark). The only screws are where the wires get inserted.

Nope. AFraid if I pry it off, won't get it to stick back in there.

I get the impression you are not really up for refoaming.

I hate to bring this up but if it's not a loose screw or a rotten surround, it could be magnet shift (possible to fix but even harder than the other two!).

Everyone seems to have jumped to the conclusion that these need re-foaming but the OP hasn't looked at them yet - that would be the first step.
According to this website: http://www.humanspeakers.com/e/epi100.htm some versions had rubber surrounds, not foam. Unfortunately, some versions had grilles which weren't easily removable.
It's possible that the rattle is due to something else but a visual inspection of the cones/surrounds is definitely needed.

I think your's have the grilles held in place by velcro. Be brave and try prising them off - you won't know what state the drivers are in otherwise.

Most if not all of your model had Velcro so it's pretty easy to remove and attach

Are these pictures of YOUR speakers? If it is, they definitely need a refoam. I know you’re hesitant, but that’s likely the only way to fix it.

Your surrounds are shot and will need to be refoamed

I suspect it would be in your best interests to look up "speaker repair" in your local area and pick a professional to take over.

Not sure, you’d have to open it. But it’s possible.
