Speaker recone

More information would be helpful. What are the drivers/speaker model? Do you want to find someone local to you or are you willing to ship them? If you add a picture we might be able to tell you that you don't need a full re-cone, maybe you just need new surrounds.

If they just need the surrounds replaced, that's actually a pretty easy DIY job. Take a look at SimplySpeakers.com . I've done a few speakers with their products, with excellent results.

Thanks.
I am looking at getting some midranges done if it can be done. Here are some pics

That's going to be tough. I doubt Matsushita has made replacement cones available, meaning you'd have to use generics, which would almost definitely alter the sound.

What's wrong with them?

The one pictured I believe was reconed before I bought them in the mid eighties. You can't see it in the pic but the paper has a rip from the outer edge to the center cap. The other is ripped all along the outer edge.

I don't care if generics are used as long as they look ok.

Talk to Orban Audio in the Akron, OH area. Mike Orban has been doing speaker repairs for many years. He repaired a damaged voice coil in a KLH woofer for me. You can do a Google search.
