Speakers with accurate timbres?

My Spendor BC1 speakers impress me on the natural sound of instruments and vocals.

If you like the spendors, you may well like the old B&W DM2a ... same tweeters and supertweeters as the Spendor BC1, handbuilt transmissions so has excellent clear bass

I still fancy the Chartwell BBC LS3/5a speakers, however, prices have rocketed on these as many people (especially people from the far east) are using these in their home cinema setups as main speakers

IMF TLS80 are also very good (4 way transmissions) ... these are becoming rarer to find now and prices are becoming expensisve

I would add that Apogees except for the true ribbon tweeter sections are also single ended planar speakers. Acoustats, Martin Logans, Quads and the already mentioned Eminent Technology models are not single ended.

Now that makes me doubt if single ended is good or bad.
Magnepan is, to me, far better sounding than Martin Logan speakers.
