question about coaxial/triaxial drivers: does the large diaphragm of the woofer moving back and forth, and moving a lot of air, cause the tweeter/midrange diaphragm to move back and forth along with it? Wouldn't that potentially create some distortion as the tweeter diaphragm is reproducing the high frequencies while also wobbling back and forth at whatever bass frequencies are being reproduced at the same time?

Not if the coaxial tweeter has a sealed back. Usually, sealed-back tweeters have so high of a resonant frequency, that bass energy just can't drive them. It's so far out of their passband, that there's no real movement at low frequencies, due to the effective "stiffness" of the tweeter suspension combined with the very stiff 'air spring" inside the tiny tweeter enclosure.

Same reason why tweeters don't usually have those problems, in any speaker.
