Splicing tape?

What do you use for splicing? Is it applied to both sides or just one side ?

One side only! You use splicing tape,search google and you will find it

splicit.com has it as does the bay. You want splicing tape other tapes ooze and that will screw up a machine to possibly destroying the motor. Apply to the outside of the tape cause you are going to be listening, recording on the inside of the tape.

The trick is to flip the one side of tape and cut at an angle, then restore same side alignment and splice. It makes the job easier.

A splice and tape block is really the trick to doing this correctly. One side taping using splice tape is all that is needed. I haven't done it in years, but having the right tape and tool makes all the difference.
