Was at a thrift today and they had a pair of DCM Timeframe TF-600's there. $200! I passed.
I was wandering around to a few thrift stores this week...not much about, except lots of cassette decks...Akai's and Technics.. I came across a good pair of 10" R/T Subs...large ceramic magnets. I'll put new Dust caps on..because of a little dent in each. A perfect replacement for my vintage 10" RTR's foamies..someones cat clawed! Foam surrounds seem nice a firm + thick, on the woofers The price was right "1/2 Price Day".. @$5.00/pr I just need to spruce em up...a little dusty! My RTR's have a 10"woofer,12" passive & a Philips dome tweeter. I have them stored away..and don't remember the model#'s. Not Uploading Pics!! I will have to try later!!
Sweet sound poured forth...great highs
The SA seemed a tad better in the bass, but no contest in the highs...even to these old tin ears.Passed on a pair of Thrusters at the GW today, but it was hard... they were Turbo Thrusters.

VV's have some Sony APMs....
I saw those today. APM-717 with rotten surrounds for $70. I have a hard enough time finding round surrounds that don't amount to $7 of parts + $5 service fee (cause order is less than $20) + $12 shipping!
They also had a pair of KEF C-35's (I think) without grills for $99 (yikes!).
(this is in Victoria, BC, in case anyone is wondering)
Surrounds weren't in pieces when they first got there. Which is a pity.
Decided to hit the Goodwill on the way into work this afternoon. Picked up a pair of Sansui SP-1500's for $29.99. The surrounds look good. I'll find out this weekend if the tweeters are working.![]()
There was a set of these at the local SA a few months ago at a similar price but I passed. Too big and I figured someone else would like them more. I did not pull the grilles off and might have bought them if I did however.
