SS Amps That Will Run 2 Ohms

20A isn't even close to what you need.
watts = volts x amperage.
1000 watts of class A into a single channel is going to draw over 2000 watts.
2000/110 is really close to 20 amps; you'd need each channel on at least its own 20 amp circuit, and you'll probably be tripping the breakers all the time.
I'd say no less than two 30A breakers, plus a 3rd breaker to run everything else.

You cannot send 30a down any normal household wiring. Just no. 20a is max, and you'll find that virtually no extension cords or power strips are rated over 15a. If you want to feed 20a or more to an appliance you need heavy cords and plugs. Think dryer cords.

1800 watts is how much you can get out of a 15a home outlet, max. If you get more your breaker is weak. You will be very hard pressed to find any audio with a higher rated power consumption. Generally a 10a fuse is as big as you'll ever find. If you're pulling over 12a regularly from your 15a then you need a second circuit.

2000>1800 (and 1800 is optimistic; 1500 is generally the most you'd want to pull from a 15A circuit)

Read my other comment about needing 4000 watts bare minimum to get 2 channels of 1000w class-A. (even ignoring my comment to double to 8000W supply for some overhead). 20A circuits are barely enough, and only if every damn thing is on its own circuit. Good luck with ground loops.

(for the record, I have a single 20A circuit feeding 10 gauge THHN through armored conduit to 12 gauge pigtails to a gang of (4) hospital grade duplexes, taking full advantage of isolating the ground from the galvanized j-boxes and conduit. I have a pair of 700 watt rms monoblocks and a bridged-mono amp that does about 400 watt rms plugged directly into the duplexes, and also a big Isotec strip plugged into a duplex, feeding all of my front end gear. Essentially doing my best to maintain star-grounding)

I can think of several brands of SS amps that will take a 2 Ohm load and not start a fire. Can some of you add to the list? Should be rated by the manufacture to handel the load, not just that they did not self destruct when you did it.

Quite a few professional amplifiers are rated for that and less. For example, the old Crown K series (K1 & K2) are rated safe with any impedance, and are rated for massive power into 2 ohms. Though to get the massive power that they claim for the K2 into 2 ohms, you are going to have to use something other than a 120 volt 15 amp circuit. Still, you can hook up 2 ohms and less with no problems even if you are using such a circuit; it is just that you will not get the full power that the amplifier is capable of providing.

These days, I think only the cheap professional amplifiers are not rated for 2 ohms.

For amplifiers marketed for home use, it is much less common, though many of them have ratings for peak power into low impedances while also telling you never to hook up such a low impedance to the amplifier. As a marketing ploy, it seems to work to fool people into believing that those amplifiers are more capable than they are.
 
A lot of the Ashley MOSFET amps are rated down to 2 ohms if you look at there Specs. The power doubles all the way down to 2 ohms. They are mostly designed for theater applications and most have cooling fans. However they are very musical and sound excellent. Made in the NY.
