"Stereo Hoarder" sale in KC

Yep, that is a great idea.

They sound like pleasant folks, too, with a sense of humour. I laughed at this line: "Sansui SP-20 - Quite possibly the worst speakers I've ever heard. I'll give you $2 to take them away."

Absolutely amazing. It takes 4 folks to put this gear together for the sale and from what I have seen on AK, there are many here that can load up the sales floor with more than that without asking for help. What do people do with all that gear?

I'm kinda guilty of this, too much gear, not enough space.

I know the feelling! But remember this is the gear that they don't want to keep, no telling how much they have that they are keeping.

Also, they did say that they were selling it to get new stuff. I suspect that many of us are like that - some things are real keepers, but most other stuff we'll replace with a new toy, once we've had our fun with it - I know that I am!

This concept is pretty much what I suggested to the Denver Group as part of a meet up. We need to open it up to non-forum enthusiasts...perhaps find some new interested parties because when all you have in the room are bottom feeders (like us) it's hard to sell at a profit :-)
