There ya' go! Run the 1/8" stereo cable from your headphone jack on your TV out to your receiver aux RCA left and right and done.

Ok..can those cables be found at any decent stereo store?

Take the RCA jacks and plug them into your aux inputs. With the volume turned down, touch the other end of the RCA jacks with your finger and slowly turn up the volume. If the cords are good, you should hear a buzz. If you do, the aux input is working and the cords are good and that just pretty much leaves it at the tv end of things.

Should be able to, I bought some sets from Radio Shack when they were closing and they work well for me.

Some may not agree but Radio Shack made some very nice cables and wire.

You don't need to spend a lot on cables for very good sound.

TattRotten, I hope you are not looking at the black receptacle next the VGA connection in you photo. That's clearly "Audio IN" and will not help you.

I, personally, have not come across many headphone outputs on TVs. I still suspect something switched incorrectly in the Audio menu of the TV.

Probably everything reverted to default when you unhooked everything to move.

Yeah, on my Samsung, in the Audio menu, there is a "Speaker Select" option.

Within that you have the choice of TV Speaker vs External Speaker.

I suspect your TV has a similar setup. Do you now hear the TV sound when you didn't used to?

That's right! Everyone was talking "output" so I also assumed.............well........anyway, the red and white RCA's definitely say "audio output". Those are the one's you want to be using for sound out to your amplifier/receiver set up.

It was stevo137's post #28 that showed a tv with the 1/8 inch output. Not the same tv as the OP's in post #18.
