Stylus Microscope suggestions.

Any suggestions on an inexpensive Stylus Microscope? Will just any old microscope do? Are there stylus checking services available?

I have a stylus that I want to find out where it is in it's life span.

Thanks

Not a direct answer to the question but a simple way to parity check stylus tip condition;
I kept more than one replaceable stylus assembly and would change it out when I was not sure of the performance. Replaying the passages (usually the inside grooves) that bothered me would tell the tale. If the sound is cleaner and more pleasant than it seems to have been recently then a change was overdue, it's the result that matters in the end.
