Hello all; simple question for some of you guys will a power/speaker switch to a SX-650 fit a SX-750

The service manuals show the speaker switches are different. The 650 is an ASA-039. The 750 is an ASA-038. Couldn't tell you what the difference is.
If you need a replacement Noble power switch, it's on various models but can be hard to find since they fail so much and availability is limited. You'd have to search for a working one then disassemble them to put the working one on your switch. They're held in place on the end of the speaker switch with a couple of nuts/bolts.
You can also repair the original, then repair the REAL problem.

Mr. Noble, that is. A.K.A., the "Six Million Dollar Switch" to small SX-x50 owners. I picked up a fairly clean SX-750 and the switch had been jumpered previously. I didn't want to operate it by plugging in or via a power strip, so there was little choice but to replace or repair the switch...

The power switch on my SX-750 was still working so I put an alternistor on it to keep it from going bad.

My problem is I bought the receiver on the Bay even ask the seller if they were sure they could ship it without damage to the glass and switches they said yes but it came in a single walled box and had broken glass and the power/speaker post was snapped off, so before I send it back I thought I’d look at options to fix it and there is a switch for a 650 for sell and I didn’t know if it would work

OK, I'll bite. What is an alternistor? Never heard of that before and I've been monkeying around with electrons for 50yrs. lol
An alternistor is similar to a triac. They're used to keep the power switches from getting destroyed. When using an alternistor on a power switch the snubber cap isn't needed. The snubber is needed with a triac.
There are isolated triacs and alternistors that don't need mica when they are attached to the chassis. Just a little thermal paste and fasten them down.
