SX838 Selector Function

For an 838 should the FM tuner functions still be lit while non tuner inputs are engaged? Meters, dial pointer, stereo. Has significant tuner bleed through as well.

Yes. All lights on all the time with all Pioneers that I know of.
Sansui was really the only brand that had switching on the dial and meters.

No 626 experience but the 424, 525 and 727 all turn off dial pointer and meter(s) when not using tuner function.
