Can some body help with Teac X2000R el. sheme.I bougth this beautiful reel 2 reel recorde but it has recording issue.

YES! Please tell us in detail what exactly is or is not happening. I have the non-reversing X2000.

It is very beautiful recorder with great tape transportation.
I have a recording issue, it does not record at all.I check the switches and and the rec button all the way to the PCB , but now i have the cheme and i will fix it much easier.It has a second issue, like it cant rewind the tape but the reverse works great in both sides.
May be you can throw some idea about this two issues.
I appreciate your help.

Do the meters move while recording? You have the line level controls turned up? It plays fine with pre-recorded tapes?

It plays pre-recorded tape just fine, but it doesn't go into rec mode at all, and i see from youtube i have to have that blinking red light at least in the beginning, but mine is off all the time.

Are the left and right REC MODE pushbuttons in the ON position (pushed in)?

I'm assuming he's pushing them in, but not getting the flashing red lights.

Since he appears to be a new user of this model of R2R, I just wanted to make sure he has done that because he may not know this is a necessary step in the recording process which is described in the instruction/user manual. If he hasn’t read the manual, it is available for free download from HiFi Engine after registering which is also free.
