What are some thoughts on a technics SL-D3 with a Pickering xv-15 cart? I've read some decent stuff and it looks like the Pickering is a decent cart. This will be my first turntable so I have nothing to compare it to.

The Technics SL-D3 is my daily player. I've read only good things about it , and I like it. Same goes for that cartridge. What are some thoughts on a technics SL-D3 with a Pickering xv-15 cart? It's not a gimmick. Some people like using them, and some don't. A Google search will no doubt result in tons of info. Also, the brush on the cart, is it a gimmick or is it useful? This is the only cart I've seen it on.

The tracking weight in your video shows it's at 2.3 grams. Did you balance the arm and is that the tracking weight recommended for that cartridge? I'm not familiar with that cartridge but most cartridges track between 1.5 and 2 grams.
