Final update from me on this particular Technics SB-L51 project. I replaced the caps in the second speaker; and now both are in my living room, hooked up to my Technics SA-404 receiver. The definately put out more bass than my previous vintage Sony system speakers.

Next up! Working on my Genesis Model 2's!

But you will want a fairly powerful amp to go with the Genesis 2s. I had a pair twice. First time matched with a Yamaha R9 receiver. The second time matched with a Sansui AU-D9. They sounded fantastic with both of these units. Other smaller amps, no so fantastic, but still good.

What the pics don' show is a rear port. They were dual ported. They sounded ok, especially for the price. They could be played very loud without breakup.

They sure look sharp as hell
