Tele-tweek

I think you guys are missing one possible explanation for the existence of machinadynamica's Teleportation Tweak (as well as the clever little clock and brilliant pebbles)

I see Geoff Kait's entire effort as performance art. (I'm serious here.) His whole operation looks like a carefully thought out social experiment of which this very thread is a part. Just Google Machina Dynamica, Geoff Kait, Teleportation Tweak, or Brilliant Pebbles and try to see it all as engineered play. Creative writing-call it "audio science" fiction.

Personally, I'm not mad at him for doing it, and I do think that the people who are are missing the point. As for the people who send him money actually believing that a $60 phone call will tune their room, well... that's between them and Geoff.

I turned a friend on to the website and he was tempted to spend $60 on the tele-tweak just so he could join the performance. I see Machina Dynamica as entertainment, and I assume Geoff Kait does too.

I've resisted posting in this thread for a while now, but...

... I have to say I agree completely with this statement.
I do have a lot of respect for the people that come up with these ideas, such as Geoff Kait, because they are all incredibly creative and nobody can prove outright that they don't work. It's genius! I just wish I could come up with something myself...

It may well be (and in my opinion, is) entirely psychological, but if the person paying for the tweak thinks he or she hears an improvement, even if it's all in their mind, the tweak has done it's job.

If you put a price tag on anything, someone will buy it. Sure as Murphy.

Sorry, man, totally disagree. I have a bunch of crap here that I'd have to pay someone to take away, and you think that if I charge $650.00 for a busted TT that never worked properly a day in it's entire life, why.... why....

:bat:

Hah-hummmp. Gimmie a week or two... over to ePrey I go!

Hmmm, I always figured the MD Tele-tweek worked because after he gets your CC# he insults you, laughs at you for an uncomfortably long period of time and insults your mom.....and after that anything sounds good!
