testing speakers

have a pair of d9 cerwin vega and other then testing ohms at speaker do not know how to test crossovers etc and where to find specs

If you have them apart, you might consider just replacing the caps in the crossover. As far as testing the crossover, more than likely there is nothing wrong.. You can test each individual part to see if they read within spec using a meter, but it's really not something that's often done.

More than likely, do a refoam, plug them up, and you'll be fine and dandy..
 
You will need a Inductance & Capacitance Multi-meter.They are hard to find that do everything like amps,volts,ohms,inductance,capacitance.

So look for a Multimeter with Inductance & Capacitance as the keywords.
