Thanks AK, and farewell (for a time)

Best of luck!
I visted the Little Rock Air Force Base yesterday for a Blue Angels airshow. Met some fine young people who joined too.

I went through AF basic about a year and a half ago...can't say it was the most fun I've ever had...:) But, I can pick off a target from 400 yards now, so I guess that's worth something. Have fun!

Did my stint at Lackland late '83.

Even a simple question can be a trick, such as...

TI- "Who here likes bowling?"
New Trainees - half a dozen guys raise their hands...
TI- "Good...you are my bowling team. Now get in there and clean them toilet bowls... "

:lmao: now I know what people mean when they say--"don't volunteer for anything." So just stand there, be good, and don't say anything. :D thanks for the great tip whoaru! :thmbsp:

The first week or so they will trick you with questions like that, and then someone will ask for volunteers for a job.DO IT!Those that dont volunteer get MUCH worse tasks, trust me.

As it's already been suggested (as if you're looking for more advice!) DON'T VOLUNTEER and keep your head down! The smaller waves you make, the better.

I still cringe at hearing reveille...try and pull the 4 - 6 am Entry Control duty.

Yes, a big part of the training is keeping you off balance to see how you will handle and adapt to being in a constant state of flux.
