The Cajun Zydeco World is in mourning Stanley "Buckwheat" Dural has died

This morning we have lost a stalwart of the Zydeco music world Stanley "Buckwheat" Dural lead of "Buckwheat Zydeco" he was just 68 years of age.

A true loss. He made Zydeco accessible to a whole new audience. Heaven will be jumpin' with Mr. Dural there. R.I.P.

A great performer that I was lucky enough to have seen several times, his covers of "Hey Baby", "Route 66", "Beast Of Burden", "Hey Joe" are prime examples of the great American musical form that is Zydeco. Now go jam with Boozoo Chavis & Beau Jocque and show heaven how it should be done. RIP Buckwheat Zydeco, you will be missed.
