The Expanse (SyFy)

I hope The Expanse gets picked up. My favorite syfy show of all time. Not nearly as character driven as others. I can't think of any other show where the science keeps up with the fiction. Maybe even surpassing it. The details are the stars of this show to me. The storylines are interesting as well but it's the whole that makes it so great.

But then again what is a good source anymore. Funny that the Hollywood Reporter uses the headline "'The Expanse' Revived for Season 4 at Amazon" but then the first line says "Amazon Studios is in talks to revive one of CEO Jeff Bezos' favorite properties."
There is a big difference between "in talks" and "revived"

The fact that Bezos is a big fan of the books and series, and wanted the rights when it originally went to SyFy, would probably make that distribution deal more palatable.

This is really great news. I can't believe a show with the quality level of The Expanse would be let loose after just 3 seasons. Beginning to lose patience with Netflix too. They churn out a lot of original material but a lot of it is crap. Feels very rushed. They are more successful picking up completed foreign series rather than their own new works.

/imo of course as well as fingers crossed

Either way, that is spectacular news - knowing its gonna continue being filmed!

So - when do we get the next dose of The Man in the High Castle??

oops! Not a time traveler here.. I just watch season 3 episode 7. I paid Amazon for the season (and season 2), and they say I "own" it, whatever that means.. Fixing my post now...
 
Couple random thoughts on some post above.

Great news on Amazon picking up The Expanse for Season 4 and let’s hope it’s for many more. I’m thinking next season will be even better since there will be more story per episode and the story’s flow will not be interrupted by commercial breaks. Did I mention that I hate commercials?

While I haven’t dipped my toe in the 21st Century stream yet, the only three good self-produced Netflix shows I’ve come across are House of Cards (although without Spacey as FU I’m out), Orange is the New Black and Altered Carbon (which I’ve yet to see, but have heard good things from those I trust). Any word on their following it up with the second Takesi Kovacks novel Broken Angels?

Hey - big Season 3 double episode finale was Weds night!
And since thats the end of the run on SyFy channel, I suspect we have a year before we see it continue on Amazon Prime.

I'm an early riser, so we TIVOed it Weds and watched last night.
Nobody said a word after it aired, so I'll be spoiler free - but - wow!
I personally like all the actors in the show - so I enjoyed the heck out of the presentation and the display of how they resolved the Gateway problem.
Spinning the drum last week was a great solution, as was opening the Nauvoo (Behemouth?) to all the wounded so they could heal under spin gravity.
Honestly, the physics on this show really impress me - well done and well thought out!

I'll miss the show and will keep an eye out for the next season ... its been great so far!

So - where the heck is "The Man in the High Tower"
