The Fisher cabinet with Garrard TT info?

Skip the road trip. Checked back later with the estate sale and it was gone, sold about 5 hrs into the day. There are several other AKers in town, maybe one of them got it? Anyway yeah the 'vibes' were a combination of things, primarily that my garage and basement already packed with too many projects and secondly the wife not caring much for the particular style style (even though I liked it) so if I bought it it would likely be gutted. Now it stands a 50/50 chance of staying in tact which would be nice. The money was't a big deal, heck that's a night for two at the movies anymore. My heart just wasn't into this one. I knew even before I started out it was probably just a reconnoissance mission.

Damn. I love the mid-century styling on that setup. I've never seen a Fisher quite like that, though I've seen similar cabinets from other companies.

Sometimes something tells you it just ain't worth it to you. Even if you did nothing to it but flip it... the time involved in picking it up, photographing it, posting an ad... etc, etc, shipping, dealing with the buyer... it just isn't worth what you'll get at the end of the day.

Things like this are only worth buying if they are going to be a labor of love and something to enjoy in your life. No putting a price on that.

Nope its not as cool as you think, for someone like me who can pick up those vibes it isn't so cool.

My wife picks up on stuff like that. I call her a "NOTICER" - she notices stuff. It's kind of like a superpower. I had a bad reaction to an antique hat-rack once but it might have just been ugly.

All three of the consoles in my house have passed muster using my wife's vibe detection circuitry. One belonged to her late grandfather, one to a deceased Air Force Colonel and subsequently to his wife who has also passed, and fortunately the Commander (as in the Commander's console) is still kicking. I figure that since we share in the appreciation of these old consoles with the deceased, any haunting will probably be benign. I'd hate to be the guy who trashed some late individual's prized console, though.

I do have a Fisher 510 consolette from 1959 out in my van that belonged to a well-known U.S. Navy artist who, I have since learned, tragically took his own life. I did once catch my wife giving it a doubtful look but that was most likely since it was console #4 and it has a strong cigarette odor.

Nope its not as cool as you think, for someone like me who can pick up those vibes it isn't so cool. I used to black out for a few seconds and when I came to I was somewhere else. I used to see a dead kid at my last job, these last few weeks I have been having a chill up my spine. I don't know what it is but it freak my friend out when I start doing that shaking thing. I just found a WWII Helmet and talk about getting strange vibes from an object. Heres another fun thing some times when i type, I go to proof read what I wrote and there will be words in there that I didn't tell myself to type. Freaky huh?

I dated a high level clairvoyant/telepathic/psychic medium etc etc woman, very briefly, a few years ago. While I didn't have what she had, I could tell that it was not much fun at all. She actually did it professionally but didn't seem to enjoy it, as it was often, as she stated "arguing with very confused dead people".
