3-piece Pilot console

Just saw this Pilot console on CL - http://ithaca.craigslist.org/ele/1417911698.html

Anybody have some info on it? Can't find any specs except one guy saying it's probably '61-62 with FM, and a Garrard TT.

The date would make it tube and with two speakers most likely stereo. I am sure it was a nice setup.

obviously you missed the 590 in the description .the 590 is a tube tuner/preamp.who knows what amp was in it .

This will come as no comfort but that was Pilot's TOTL console from 1960. It was featured in a Dec. 59 "Curtain of Sound" ad as "Pilot's Most Expensive, Yet Most Wanted" and cost $1,158.50. I don't know the model number of the 3-piece but there was a very similarly styled one-piece (the 1120) with the 680 tuner, the 210 preamp and the 260 amp that listed for $1,150. Other than the tuner, they may have possibly shared components. I hope whoever got it appreciates what a spectacular deal they got.
