The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Good morning, y'all! We have 84 and sunshine here today. I'll go for a walk a little later this morning, app said I walked 1.9 miles at the small park yesterday. There were no ill effects, so I'll take a shorter route today. I have to read over a draft of our family trust to make sure that the changes and updates the lawyer made since 2017 are what we want.
I have a live fantasy football draft this evening. It's serious fun. This will be the 22nd year of our family league. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Good morning! Broken overcast and lower 80s F for the walk, going to 99.
Should do some dusting and dust mopping, we'll see - IBS acting up, drags me down. Maybe was prompted by hot dogs for supper; fatty meals are iffy for someone without a gall bladder. Also should put away the photo gear used for intentional camera movement experiments last month, and read what the Digital Arts SIG challenge is for October.

Have a great day!

Howdy from the equality state, which only earned that moniker because there weren't enough men here to give them a vote in congress. I hate to say it, but it's the truth.

Hope you all have a wonderful day, expecting 89f today so no cool off yet from the heat.

Got bite by a black widow spider, that what surmise from my symptoms. Really screwed with my equilibrium and other brain function. The bite is still sore and itchy today. Did not see a DR., took a double dose of Benadryl , my allergy meds and got thru the day without any additional catastrophe. Gonna have to spray the house again, I did some before the bite, maybe that just made it mad. lol I feel much better today, have those spiders have come in the house before but have never had a problem with them biting the residents. Still itchy, got bit blow the armpit.

Wondering if this extended heat wave have the bugs running for cover into homes. Well, watch out for those bugs. Have a great day! john

Going to ride the Durango and Silverton?
Got back a couple hours ago... we rode the D&S train several years ago, but it is too early to ride right now as the Fall colors haven't appeared yet. We just went to get out of the heat and ride the Alpine Slide at Purgatory Ski Resort (too bad their mountain coaster was broken down). Low 80's in the afternoons with low 50's at night felt sooo good, but we got home to 95F.

Good morning. It’s 61°F going to the low 80s with some rain. I’m packed and loaded (gear on my motorcycle) and heading out in a bit for the PNW. I’ll ride today from southeastern Montana to central Idaho and camp along the Lochsa River on Hwy 12. If you have never taken 12 across Idaho from Lolo, MT to around Lewiston, put it on your list. It’s gorgeous. I ride it a couple times a year. Nice twisty road through the forest along a river or two. Tomorrow I’ll ride across Washington and camp near Mt. Ranier. Wednesday I’ll arrive in Sequin, WA and visit with my mom and sister. Thursday morning I take the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, BC and I’ll camp at Barberton Provincial Park. Friday I head north a bit and take the Pacific Marine road, west, to the coast and then coastal route back to Victoria and the ferry back to Port Angeles. I’ll spend the weekend with family and then back to Montana the middle of next week. It should be fun.

Morning people!

Stayed up way
too late last night.
TV series got
a hold of me...
and wouldn't
let go.
Fussy on
what I watch, so
doesn't leave
much for me
to choose.

Earlier, on the
air waves...
a weather man
took time to
explain that
we got some
weird "stuff" coming
this Winter...
and it's
"El Neneo"!

Went down to
local beach
yesterday...
wall to wall
people, working
on their melanoma.
Can't throw "rocks"...
did the same
way back when.

Noticed greatly
increased traffic
in my area.
"Build more roads!"
is the cry. Just
more congestion!

On the serious side,
got a dangerous
invasive WEED now
in our region;
"Giant Hog Weed".
And it's the sap
causes severe
inflammation
burning the skin!
You've 20 minutes
to wash it off
It can leave scars!
Got it from over
"There".

Also got the
"Green Borer"
beetle killing
all the huge
Elm trees.
Migrated from
over "There"!

Sheltie just
brought me
one of his toys.
Translated:
"We need to
go for a walk!"

Demanding
little Scot!

Take care, all! :bye:

Good morning, 65 F and sunny.
Had a four hour LP session yesterday evening, right till midnight.
Listened to just about every genre of sound that exists.
Very relaxing indeed.
All my espresso places are closed today so I had to settle for a double double this morning.
Just chillin' today.
Have a good one.

Mornin' all. 67°F/19°C, clear sky, breeze off and on. No plans, may mow that small part of lawn I missed just before the monsoons hit.

@Quadman2 , you are probably referring to the Emerald Ash Borer, a non-native pest nicely imported for our pleasure...sorta like COVID, but for trees. Not sure that bug has gotten as far as us, but there have been warnings. Google it so you can see what it is, then squish the little buggers...trees can be saved if treated early.

Keep safe everyone, and have a relaxing day...based on traffic going by, there are a lot working

The much, much more aggressive brown widows have all but wiped out the shy black widows here. They rule the underworld, well the under our patio furniture underworld anyway.

Good Morning from deep in the Mountains of Central Nevada. It is currently 52f on the porch, sunny with an expected high in the low 70's. Arrived back home early yesterday evening after two long days on the road. First thing after unpacking, Alice and I went up the road to the Saloon. Being a holiday weekend it was packed with mostly locals. Very warm and fuzzy hour and half. This morning's coffee is welcomed after two days of highway coffee. After two mugs, it is back in the pickup for the hundred mile round trip to the grocery store and breakfast. This afternoon the plan is to take the Side by Side/ATV out for a ride and enjoy the perfect weather.
Take care an have a great day.
Allan

Good morning, y'all! We have 89 and sunshine here today. We'll be finishing up reading the draft of the revised family trust document today, as we have an appt. at the lawyer's tomorrow. I'd like to do some more chair sanding and take a short walk in the park. I walked 1.5 miles yesterday with no knee issues, so I'm encouraged to keep it rockin'. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Mornin’ Friends,
It will be cloudy with a high of 81f today. Last minute prep for our second visit with our daughter’s boyfriend’s parents. Only the second time playing meet the parents for us in 46 years, so yeah kind of a big deal. And they are foodies so I’m going with my tried and true BBQ Italiyaki Tri-tip after vacillating between it and authentic Santa Maria BBQ seasoning. I lack the correct oak firewood for the coals so there’s no point. Growing up in Santa Barbara, Grandpa and Uncle Reno both had built-in Santa Maria BBQ’s.

Good morning! Cloudy and lower 80s F for the walk, evidence of an overnight shower. Going to 97. Forecast said possible showers this morning and drying this afternoon. Radar shows widely scattered light showers, drying up. One cloud to the east looked like it was still trying, but probably evaporating before reaching the ground.

Nothing particular planned today, dusting some furniture I missed yesterday.

Have a great day!

Good morning dear friends!

70° F and sunny, high 79.

Gradually getting cooler. Yesterday the Cape was surprisingly quiet. I got on the sealine bus and rode all the way out to the end and came back. Enjoyed the scenery and ran into some people I hadn't seen in a while.

Forgot to mention, I discovered a very cool genre of music yesterday afternoon. It's called "dark country metal". Someone posted a reel on IG of the Sesame St theme done to that. It's not for everyone, but I love it!

Just had breakfast with friends. Not sure what else is happening today.

God bless you all!
