The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Good morning all! Momma painted the new boards yesterday, today I vacuumed where furniture had been, then we put everything back and I vacuumed the rest of the rug. Room looks pretty good. Hung a couple of things on the walls and called it a morning.

After lunch Momma is playing Mahjong with the ladies. I'll hang out here in the loft and try not to get into trouble.

Take care and have a great day!

Mornin’ friends,
We have a cloudy, sticky high of 92f on tap today. That strong willed El Niño is definitely upon us. HB’s water temp is 73 which is 3-5 degrees above normal. Today I have a blood draw and Tricia has a Genius Bar appointment so we’ll grab fish tacos for lunch near the Apple store. Otherwise the plan is to beat the heat today. Have a great day,
John

Good morning, y'all! We have 94 and sunshine here today. It's gonna get toasty, over 100 the next 2 days, then backing off into the mid-80's for the next week. This morning we have a meeting with the estate lawyer to discuss our revised family trust. It's difficult to understand the wording in the document, so I'll get her to explain all the changes in layman's terms. We'll probably have a lunch date after that, hopefully to In 'N Out Burger. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Good Morning Folks. It is 55f on the porch and the high may reach the mid 70's. The main chore today is getting the diesel stove ready for the heating season. The stove in down in the basement and it's keeps all the pipes from freezing. Yesterday, I clean and tested the four propane wall heaters in the house.
Have a great Tuesday and take care.
Allan

Good morning! Cloudy and lower 80s F for the walk, going to 98. Small chances of rain but so far it's staying to the south.

Today: some laundry, review of latest routine blood draw results, final review of tax returns.
Tomorrow: Botox for vocal spasms; supper meeting with the small camera club.

Have a great day!

TMI: IBS acted up and cut the walk short. Aches in lower back, hips, thighs, knees have gradually gotten worse over the last month or so. Since it's not improving, I think I'll make an appointment with the primary doc to see if he has any ideas about it.

Good morning dear friends!

68° F and mostly cloudy, high 71. Possible rain overnight. If so, hopefully it will be a nice gentle rain that will water in the ashes I spread around the privacy plants last night. My neighbors who smoke save their ashes for me. Great fertilizer!

Yesterday I ran into the ex-gf and she asked me if I'm ok even though there is no reason in the universe to think I'm not ok. She's totally blocked, but apparently thinks she is going to get a 3rd chance. NOPE!

On my way to have brunch with friends. Not sure what else is going on.

God bless you all!

Good Morning Folks. It is 50f on the porch and the high will reach 80f. Up early this morning for a trip to So Cal and a visit with Sisters. My little sister has Pancreatic Cancer and this short visit is in between chemo treatments. The plan is to be back in the mountains tomorrow evening.
Have a great Wednesday and take care.
Allan.

Good morning, y'all! We'll have 100 and sunshine here today. I'm staying in. I thought about an early walk, but my knee stiffened up yesterday so I think I'll just try to stay off it. Sweetie Pie has a ceramics class today, so she'll be gone for about 3-4 hours, leaving me to my own devices. I'm excited about football tonight. I laid in all the necessary supplies yesterday: beer, bourbon, wine, corn chips, pretzels and crunchy cheetos. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Good morning! Sunny and mid 80s F for the walk, wind from the south, going to 98. 33% chance of rain later afternoon/early evening.
Today: larynx Botox injection for vocal spasms; small camera club supper meeting. President's wife just had her esophagus surgery and is on clear liquid diet, so they won't be there.

Have a great day!

TMI: blood work results showed iron/hemo back to normal - continue supplements and come back in 6 months. IBS symptoms disturbed my sleep again this morning.

Mornin’ friends,
Safe travels @hendertuckie. Rough night last night, between the heat (88f indoors, outdoors & the pool) at 10:00 and the skeeters … ugh. This newish ankle-biter variety really suck. Intense burn and itch for 20 minutes if you don’t scratch, much worse if you do even a little. Gotta do it again tonight and today’s high forecast is 95f vs 92f yesterday. Viva El Niño! Not so much. The weather will be kicking our butt like it was 1983 or worse.
Last medical appointment of the week this afternoon. I made reservations in Santa Cruz for 2 nights at a nice hotel. We’re finally going to take the steam strain tour of the redwoods we booked last year. I need to find some interesting things to do on the way home between San Luis Obisbo and Santa Barbara. We’re working our way home on the coast over 2-3 days starting with the 17 mile drive. My favorite and most traveled road trip is the section from Santa Barbara to Santa Monica.
Road closures are always likely, but sections of Malibu may already be closed by high surf damage so patience, a sense of adventure, flexibility and the travel backgammon set will be necessities. Have a great day,
John

TMI: CT and DEXA the 21st. If there’s to be further expediting of my back surgery I expect things to pull in, if ever, next week based on the results. Otherwise I should have it by Christmas, maybe Thanksgiving. Sooner is better, getting 2 surgeons’ schedules to work for the other’s cancellation would prolly take lottery winning odds.

We are too!

Good morning. It’s 56°F here in Sequim, WA going to 69. I took a bit over two days to ride my motorcycle here from Montana, I had bad weather the first day out. I had to hide under a small picnic shelter in Ryegate, MT and wait for a bad storm to pass over and then I dealt with heavy winds until I got to Missoula. After that it’s been pretty nice. I camped out two night and the 2nd night, near Naches, WA I had to campground to myself. Today I’ll ride ferry from Port Angeles, WA to Victoria, BC and camp. There‘S a nice loop to ride tomorrow before taking the ferry back late in the day.

Here I am going past Mount Ranier yesterday.
