I post this up every 9/11, as a remembrance and sign of respect for all those who participated in this incredible rescue. IMHO, it never got the recognition that it truly deserves.

Great film, thanks for posting. On September 11th I worked with a NJ State Park Police officer who was also a Coast Guard Reserve Master Chief Petty Officer. Within a couple of hours of the first tower being hit, he was on the water helping coordinate getting people to Manhattan as well as getting people off the island. It was nice to get an idea of what he was involved with that day. Between the day of, the days afterwards, and his being called up to provide port security as nobody knew what might be the next target, I didn't see him for a couple of months.
Everyone involved that day is a hero to one degree or other. We will never forget.
