Carol King - Tapestry

I have a CD that titles "Tapestry Revisited", a tribute to Carole King by various artists covering the songs of the original album. Awwh its ok, but when I found a pristine copy of the original it took me back to my youth.

Tommy Tutone's debut. Great record, man this brings back some memories.

There's a girl in the back seat
goin down slowly
searchin for the promised land
doin the rolly polly

I found a box of cassette tapes that also had a couple dozen LPs in it while cleaning the basement last weekend. The box included my Nicolette Larson collection. What a shame she's gone.

I was playing with a set of speakers today and cruising the CD collection for something to see how they do at stupid levels. Threw on Green Day's "Dookie" from a few years back and turned the amp up to 11. They do fine. Hadn't listened to that one in ages. Still fun and still makes me turn the volume knob to the right.

Bebu Silvetti - Spring Rain and World Without Words

Haven't heard these two LPs since the late 70s. I recently got them off eBay. They're not in the shape they were advertised so they're going back. Hope I don't have to wait another couple of decades.

Elevator Disco Music at it's best!

Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band" I found a pristine copy the other day at SA. The last time I had it was on 8 track. Still a great album with lots of excellent guitar and synthesizer. It is still on 1 of the 3 TT's and ready to crank on short notice

Really been wanting to spin Rocky Burnette ~ The Son of Rock and Roll, the song I most want hear is Tired of Toein' The Line.

Jethro Tull: This Was (1968) Man I forgot I had this one back in the archives. Pretty good shape too.

Pink Floyd - The Wall

Haven't spun this one in 20+ years.

Same for me. I probably haven't played the Wall since 1986, the year I graduated from college.

I might have to put that on for a bit tonight, although I find I don't like much of it anymore. There are some great moments though.

One that I haven't listened to for a long time that I find myself jonesing for today is The Who- Whos Next. I think after the kids are off to bed I'll dig into it.

Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company - Cheap Thrills. Haven't played it in 20 years. Janis could belt it out.

Stones - Sticky Fingers

Cleaned up my old album from college (with working zipper).

Amazing record.

I kinda out grew that generation of Pink Floyd. But I heard it on the radio this morning in the car and I had to crank it up. It sounds really good on vinyl.

Speaking of Who's Next. Dang it... where did I put it!
