The Last GREAT Stones Album?

That's the thing, that whole era of Exile, Sticky, etc is better than Some Girls for my taste. So, SG doesn't equal those others, but is still great.

SG for me is real good, but not great. I do rather enjoy "Beat Of Burden".

It's "Some Girls" for me. After that they had albums with some good songs on them, but very uneven.
Some Girls was the perfect album for the time. The music scene at that time was rock, new wave, and punk. Some Girls melded all those styles together.

WHAT ???? No love for "Black and Blue" ???? It had a little bit of everything....straight ahead Rock `n Roll, ballads, even a little Reggae. Some superb guitar work, and cameos by Billy Preston, to boot ! :-)

Voodoo Lounge*

Still remember the hoopla over it during high school.

*With the qualification that I've never thought of any Stones album as "great", but merely good/very good, as I've never been a huge fan.
