The Mid-Century/Danish thread

It's been 10 years since I posted my homage to Sam Maloof stereo cabinet and those "Picasa" links are long useless. So after about 6 months of having a flexi-rack in the living room, I just finished freshening it up and putting the current system in it again. Sam is of course famous for his rocker, but he made a lot of case work in the 60's and 70's as well.

I don’t know if this is truly MCM but wantEd to share it anyway.
When we finally relocate I plan on have a tiki bar/room in the next house and thought this would fit there nicely

These I’m sure are from the MCM era. The artwork caught my eye immediately. it was hung up as soon as I got home. From a little shop I had never been to before. The owner told me she had a bunch of MCM that will be out for sale for a side walk sale this coming Friday. I told her I’ll be there when she opens. :)

This was my fathers. I got it when he passed.

It goes perfectly on the right side of the Barzilay that I inherited also. It's been on that right side for about 55 years.....

I love the tile plates and bowls. I have so many but right now there all packed away in a storage locker ready for the eventual retirement move. The one pictured above was purchased elsewhere at $16. It was unusual and my wife convinced me to buy it. I’ve never spent more than $5 on one. Bargains are out there you just need to find them.
I love swag lamps and there one at the Slatington Market Place. It’s orange pottery and I keep passing it up hoping someone will buy the damn thing. We go every few weeks and it’s still there. On sale this month for $35 but to I need another swag lamp ??

I’d be happy to try. Cannot promise there will be anything worthwhile. She told me they bought an old tractor trailer load of stuff which included MCM. She said much of it was filthy and had been in storage for many years. That’s what will be at the sidewalk sale.

Post pictures of the sale if there is good mcm stuff. Where will you be moving in retirement? - I think you live in one of the most beautiful places already.
