While we wait...

:scratch2:, I don't see the resemblance...

:lmao:, that's awesome:D:thmbsp:

hmmm, maybe a folk album?, or a folk-influenced album?

hmmm, maybe you already know this one? :scratch2:

(if you do, get it over with so that I can play it - and list it in Wednesday's Playlist, etc.) :-)

I'm stuck on this one. Found artists like Joanna Newsom, Josephine Foster, Jana Hunter, Alela Diane. Thought I was getting close but keep coming to dead ends.

More clues:

She has recorded with many other artists as a guest or in side projects. Some of these include the Acid Mothers Temple, Bardo Pond, and Six Organs of Admittance. (The last one is a particularly useful hint)

Her oeuvre has been classified as a seminal component of the New Weird America genre that emerged in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

Fursaxa - Madrigals In Duos

For the record:

FURSAXA
Madrigals In Duos
Time-Lag (U.S.)
2004

Fursaxa is Tara Burke, a seminal motivator of the New Wyrd* (New Weird American) folk music movements.

*New Wyrd/American Folk: Acoustic music with an open, intuitive idea,.. It can be acid folk music with "musical" opening, purity, honesty, etc. without that it necessarilly has to be psychedelic or completely free.

US (not import) CD version has a different cover photo with what looks like the same scenic sea scene, albeit w/ a different model waving her lovely hands.

This is a Jazz LP.

A comment before I sign off for 2-3 hours: this cover has that "Wes Montgomery" look.

Same era.

This cat played piano in the same "easy as falling off a log" style as Wes played guitar.

Edit: I'll be gone for the next two hours. Carry on. This LP was to be found in many a Fisher console back in the day and appealed to even the most casual Jazz fan.
