The Name That Album thread

I used to buy albums, mainly jazz & soul, from one of the members of the group who recorded this album. Circa 1986-87. Chicago. Run with it.

ps - I bought them from him in a record store where he was a clerk.

1. 2,000 12" vinyl LPs printed.
2. Yellow wax.
3. The LP included a bonus 7".
4. LP (and CD) comprised of B-sides & rarities.

This is a tough one. I'm still loading the clues into the big world wide card reader and waiting to see what comes out though.

Nice pick and pretty cool story assuming Billy Corgan was the record store clerk.

Indeed, it was he, all of pukish-red, lucious gothish locks (lest we forget: Billy had him some long hair at the close of the 1980s). He sure was a sourpuss, but what wonderful melodies that little (actually, he's a big fella) ****er could conjure.

I've seen photos of him with a 'mullet' in the 80's (blonde though) which are pretty amusing considering his present appearance. A great artist indeed although I'll take your word on him being a sourpuss. He definitly comes off as a strange one.

I spent some time in the 90s being a Pumpkins addict. I've gravitated to Adore over the years as well, which is imo Corgen at his most indulgent flushed with cash, time and free rain of the studio to create whatever he liked.

I know what I want to post, just having some trouble finding a good image on the internet.

Well hurry up (:D) and post it man! I have to pull head out in about 20 minutes for about an hour's drive west & won't get to see it 'til I land in the San Fernando Valley (Northridge).

Alright, finally got it. Sorry about the wait (and the patch job of an edit)...

Smashing Pumpkins

Pisces Iscariot

Oh Geez!, it was that band...how could I have missed it:sigh:, not a favorite, but I do know a decent amount about them....man, seems too easy in hindsight.

no idea about the new one (a feeling that is becoming increasingly common:D)

edit- looks like a less funky sly & the family stone :scratch2:

Black Magic - where love is(1970)

here's a great page on the album...I would love to own one.

and, I don't have anything ready, so how about we let someone else go?, especially if they haven't posted before, and have a good album.

so, uh, I guess whoever has one they would like to post, go ahead:thmbsp:
