Pearl jam has always allowed tapers.
Cool! Good to know I'm not the only one scrounging for deals. I got back into CDs, especially stuff from the 90s and jazz. I cleaned out their inventory of good records, so I'm set for awhile.I picked up a HUGE pile of music at a nearby thrift store. Not much in the LP area, although I picked up about 20 LPs, all in mint condition. My other pickup was jazz CDs, lots of box sets from the greats in the 1960s and 1970s. Monk, Coltrane, Peterson, Brubeck and a lot more. Selling off most of the CDs as I am a vinyl guy. The person that donated was also into classical music, lots of classical imported vinyl. I picked up about 100CDs, many were multiple CD box sets, so the number of individual CDs is higher.
The thrift stores around here, if you are looking for vintage hifi components or recorded music, you may go months or even a couple of years without finding anything. And then you get a pile, got to strike when they are there.
Basically, finds fund other finds.
Records were 25 cents each, CDs were 75 cents each. A box set was treated the same as an individual title. So the box sets were the best scores.

I'm fortunate. I don't think there are that many people buying used records or CDs here.I wish I could describe a typical visit to my local thrift store as "Not much in the LP area, although I picked up about 20 LPs, all in mint condition." 20 mint LPs, heck even VG+ would be a score. I've only found maybe 20 total since they re-opened about 5 years ago.
The good records started going to eBay when a certain manager took over about 10 years ago.I'm fortunate. I don't think there are that many people buying used records or CDs here.
I've gotten all mine from Friends of the Library, the last couple years. Went to donate books and stuff and there they were. The good records started going to eBay when a certain manager took over about 10 years ago.

I again, went to The Friends of the Library. They had a sale. 99 CDs for $14.

It's so crazy! The CDs kept piling up! There are 1000s and their good titles too!In his home town of Durham, North Carolina, my brother is the head of the Durham Friends of the Library and they get inundated with CD's and have to offer bargains like that. I wish I was there rather than Massachusetts!
Plastic inner? Probably. If it is rounded on one side and shows signs of being perforated across the opposite.Found an original 1963 mono. Near NM for $20. It was in a plastic sleeve (original?)
