Town dump has a storage.container of books and various media. Small bin of records.
Found The Pogues Red Roses for Me and two Bob Marley LPs. The Pogues is in fantastic shape, I've been listening to them a lot lately so I thought it was weird. Totally thrilled though

I'm over in Brookfield now. The guys in Spencer use to grab all the lp's.
And guess they still do...though now that I know them all by name I should ask them to let me have a look.

The vinyl was in VG- condition although it did play through without skipping. The cover, with Lee Perry's alternate track listing sticker is very rare. It sold for $700 nonetheless! I have a full rip on my YT;

I had barely played vinyl for about a year and a half, as I wasn't happy with my tables. Over the holidays, I had gotten them to where I enjoyed listening to them. This meant I could start looking in the thrifts for vinyl again, and found some good stuff last week. I recently bought a dual 1219, and thought I would pick up a few 78's at a donation station up from work. When I got there, I couldn't find ANY vinyl( they usually have a lot, classical and easy listening), and when I asked I was told somebody had just purchased ALL of it last week, but mentioned there was a batch that had just come in, on a cart( lots of those). Couldn't find it, and was about to leave, when I found them. JJ Johnson quintet, 6-eye era looks like, plastic still on, CLEAN. Ok here we go. Underneath, a Mitch Miller I had never seen before, looked like new, so new, I had to put it on the stack. A couple more in, same thing CLEAN, and I then noticed one was sealed, hey MOST of these are sealed...holy ****. Kept looking , and holy cow, the Lionel Hampton silver vibes I scored last week(clean, but damaged. I bought the CD this week)...SEALED(gasp) What you see is what I grabbed; I left behind quite a few( I think I'll stop tomorrow, and grab the Johnny Mathis).

Need to do some more investigating. I checked Hampton and Mulligan on Ebay, and both are readily available sealed. Nice to get these at thrift prices, though....

They are all boots. Still a really cool find. I'd guess someone working for them was recording.
