Me too.

And her version of "At Last" gives me the chill factor. Not just the lyrics but her soaring vocal.

In fact I like to use the At Last CD to test new equipment. Her vocals are a good test of how well equipment can handle highs and midrange.

I'll second this. Right from the opening notes all of a sudden I'm in a different place.

Another one is Grand Funk's "Closer To Home". Soemthing about that song really affects me, particularly the last third with the ocean sounds and where he sings (almost) acapella about getting closer to home and then the music starts up again with a powerful but wistful feeling. I love traveling but hate moving, so maybe that has something to do with it.

BTW: a track called "Untitled #8" done by the Icelandic group Sigur Ros in 2002 produces a good chill for me and sounds sort of similar to certain prog rock groups' efforts in the 70s. This 11 minute(!) long track starts out one way, but near the middle changes attitude bigtime. I can't even understand the words but just the sound of the words is a cool thing to hear & then combined with the powerful music, wow. This is the type of track custom made for a powerful sound system with large floorstanders. You can download the track (variable bit rate, @160kbps) and a bunch more for free from their website: Sigur Ros - downloads.
 
Joan Baez - The Song at the End of the Movie - from Honest Lullaby (1979). Haunting and sad tune about the end of things. Brings me pretty near tears whenever I hear it.
