I think that he is offering some decent entry level speakers at a rather high price. You can do much better on the prices if you are patient and hunt your local craigslist, thrift stores or garage sales. I have done quite well, i have purchased mid-level speakers for prices much lower than he is asking for his mix.
Those little BIC`s really sound better then they look. I used a set with several tube and solid state amps and they always sounded nice. 30 bucks is a good price for them. The little EV`s might be worth checking out, If they are vintage enough they may have some decent drivers in them(check the weight of them) Vintage EV`s can sound very nice with only a few watts.
The little argos has an aluminum dust cap, if it has some weight maybe its a JBL or stephens?
Pretty sure the Ampex speaks are in the 1st pic w/the "linen' grills. I have a pair of Ampex 1115s (10" 3way ported) I picked up a few years ago that don't sound bad at all. Dunno if I'd give $40 for the ones in the pic, though. I'd be interested in those EVs as well...and like zman said the BICs can be nice. The Argo corner speaker looks like a PA/paging setup & may not be all that special. Since the stuff's close...check it out!
The BIC also caught my eye. I've seen a lot of bashing on the old Venturi but I've always liked them. (Note, the grills were a foam that rotted, none of them survivied. A friend found a set in the box stored from new and the foams were just a pile of trash).
The EV and Ampex might be worth a look if you're into the very old school stuff (tube) or like listening at low to moderate levels.
The Argos corner speaker looks like it might have a JBL in it if you were lucky -- that aluminum dustcap visible through the grill cloth seems the right size proportionately.
I would want the German extension speaker, at 100$ I am not sure but the amp is guaranteed to have some nice tubes and good sound. I had a pair of the Argos and nothing special, can't remember if mine had aluminum dust cap, it could be someone installed a JBL LE8 in it. Ampex speakers may be interesting and so would the ev's. His prices do seem to be a bit high considering what can be found.
I think Argosy may have sold enclosures as well as full systems, and certainly people replace drivers for a variety of reasons, so I was thinking that that speaker might be better than a regular Argosy, which I agree, I wouldn't get too excited about.
