Thrift score...i think!

HOLY SH*****T....I GOT THEM HOOKED UP TO MY TUBE AMP AND THEY SOUND FRICKEN AMAZING! I DON'T THINK IT GETS BETTER THAN THIS! I WILL A+B THEM WITH MY ALTECS TONIGHT AND SEE WHO WINS:scratch2:! ALL I CAN SAY RIGHT NOW IS !

Crap, just crap. those speakers will make your ears bleed and ring. No grill other than those metal covers over each driver that disperses the sound in untold numbers of directions, more reflections than bose. What was it said above, a sucker born every minute? Shipping to get rid of them is gonna cost more than the speakers. such a waste. couldn't you have found a complete Lloyd's or Yorx with a TT, tape, radio and speakers for half that?

All kidding aside, while I do not have a pair of those Yamaha's, I do have a pair of JBL 4410 Nearfield Sudio Monitors. They, like your Yamaha's, are very accurate and revealing. They are not everyone's cup of tea. However, they really make a good recording shine! I listen to a lot of Americana/Folk and live recordings and these monitors are wonderful for that. I'm glad that you are liking yours - they are highly regarded!

:jawdrop: Yowsa. And I thought I did well this morning getting perfectly working AR-5s for 25.00. Way to go, have you listened to them yet?

Yeah, they have fingerprints and all on them. I would have definitely bargained the store down to $9. Amateur. :)

J/K. Awesome, awesome AWESOME SCORE!

HOLY #@$#%@&*&&^@#^^^$@<insert long diatribe of excited expletives here>@#@^%$&*^*&%^^&%#$$^&

WAY TO GO DUDE!!!

I've been keeping an eye out for those, no such luck yet.

I continue to be amazed!

How does something like this end up at the thrift store? :scratch2:

Hard to believe that someone wouldn't know the value of those.

An awesome deal, good speakeers, although I always regarded them as being a bit overpriced when they were new. But at $15, you CAN'T lose!

Great find!

Dave

Because there's plenty of rich people who would just see them as "old" - or 80's looking. They probably replaced them with a nice Bose 7.1 system. :puke:
