It appears you emphasized the wrong part of your reply. Clearly op falls into this part of the definition. He said so in his opening post. It's pretty common/accepted by fans of these bands listed to refer to themselves this way. It's obvious he has no ill intent.

Since you're quoting Wiki Definitions, I refer you to the fact that you misspelled offensive (offencive is not defined in Wiki).
 
I can see both sides of the argument but I don't think many people will be offended by the thread title

The funny thing is the first band I thought of when I read the OP was The Four Horsemen. Nobody Said It Was Easy is a rock n roll classic. I'm sure I'm the only person on the planet who thinks so.

Anyway, here's their take on Still Alive And Well. I think the drummer was dead, and the singer was in a coma, before this was even released. I guess it's ironic, in a cruel way.

 
The Four Horsemen, along with Junkyard, are two bands that never got their propers for being great rnr bands.

Being the grandson of a mine worker who set the ky state record for shoveling a ton of coal (under 5 minutes) I definitely qualify as white trash to some. However, I put myself thru college and don't have a black lawn jockey in my yard, nor am I a card carrying member of Nathan Bedford Forrests little club.

I hope nobody is terribly offended.
My vote would be for Molly Hatchet. Skynyrd lite.

Bob Seger,Ted Nugent, REO Speedwagon,Billy Squire, pretty much every band I listened to in the 70's,80's,and the 90's.
Alot of the music from this Era just didn't age well. Probably with good reason.

I don't know if its the music that didn't age well, or me that didn't age well. Hell, I still listen to that stuff on a regular basis on far better gear than I could have ever afforded than when I bought my first copies. It is what it is, and I'm still alive despite all my attempts otherwise (racing cars and bikes), and it still sounds good with a cooler full of beverages and a fire pit going.
 
I was going to say this thread needs some Faster Pussycat, but I looked on youtube and found a festival set they did in 2011. Damn, life has NOT been good to Taime Downe.
