I was wondering what would be the most someone would normally pay for a pair of JBL L26 speakers in MINT condition.

I have 6 or 7 pair of L26's and have never paid more than $150......However, they are getting harder and harder to find, I tend to value them a bit more based on the condition of the cabinets, the components are fairly easy to find if need be.
$200 may not be out of line if they are truly mint, 5 years from now you may look back and be very glad you made the purchase .........The L26 is a great little speaker, the L36 is also very collectable.........:thmbsp:

$200 is good price for good condition.
One thing for sure is, Any L series vintage JBL will increase their value from now on forwards.

My brother had a pair of the L36 with a Sansui receiver, G60 I believe. Those things rocked.

I'd concur that in mint condition they'd bring $200. Most aren't mint, need surrounds at least, or have new surrounds mounted on the wrong side. Most of these go for less than $100 and I paid $25 for mine. Nice little JBL.

I tried to sell a pair of refoamed in decent shape for $100.No bites so I just decided to keep.I felt it was kind of odd because it's not like JBL L speakers are falling out of trees around here.

The question was about "mint" condition L26. There's mint and then there's everything else. My $25 pair was not mint. Could be someday, maybe, but then there are so many JBLs and only so much time.

I had a pair of those for about ten years. Bought them at GW for $25 with a TT. Sold them last year without the TT for $50. They needed a re-foam. Not bad sounding, but not very efficient.
