Transistor Substitutions

Thanks. So, as long as I am cognizant of pin order, BC556 looks gtg. I think I may have missed KSA733 versions that are available or mistakenly rejected them. I had crossed it off my list for some reason. KSA733GTA does look to be a good substitute, and is in stock.
FWIW KSA733GTA is also a center based part, which has caused all kinds of confusion. KSA733Cxxx parts are collector in the center like the 2sc733,

Use Center Base if you care to cross your legs...
I do not mind crossing legs, while using caution. But, I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

Edit: with a relatively in demand component and ongoing (years) of supply issues, I wonder why someone hasn't produced another option.

Hoping this is the right place to ask... could anyone recommend substitutes for 2SJ201/2SK1530 MOSFETs? It seems like these and similar ones have become obsolete and my location limits options. I think FDA70N20 might work for 2SK1530 and I can get them reasonably economically, but sub for 2SJ201? Destined for Sony FA3ES

Being you are in NZ, perhaps @kevzep can give you some assistance. Or maybe try here.. https://www.electronic-spare-parts.com/descript/2/2sj_201.htm

Thanks ivo and Skywatcher. My initial reaction is that original parts are overpriced at ~$30+ international shipping per transistor for something that should cost around $5. But I'll give it some thought. It would be a shame for such a nice amp to go unused for lack of basic parts.

I reached out to kevzep but he wasn't able to help.

My best match so far (limiting options to those from RS Components) is IRFP9240PBF and IRFPC50PBF, but there are many differences and I'm not sure what is critical for this application.

Looks pretty much like a general purpose NPN with a built in 2.2K base resistor. No reason you could not just replace with a similar NPN and just use an external 2.2K resistor.

Anyone familiar with Rohm DTC323 series (like DTC323TS that I am looking for) for use in a tuner muting circuit? I have used the specs on the linked data sheet to search parts houses, and have struck out so far. It uses low Vce sat and integrated input impedance.

I found these, except they are only 20 volts max.

Anybody know of a modern substitution for a D880 in TO-220 packaging with the same pinout? It's in a tight spot with a dedicated heatsink so the pinout has to be the same so that it can screw into the heatsink properly.
