You need a new pitch belt

Don.t know if you resolved the issue with your TT, But.......
The pitch control actually slides a tapered shaft up and down inside the capstan drive, which increases it's size, hence faster speed and decreases it's size hence slower speed. They get sticky over time, or after like 30 years and need to be disassembled, cleaned and lubricated, so that the tapered shaft slides smoothly in and out of the capstan drive shaft. I doubt you need the belt. IMO.:yes:
